About me

I’m a lifetime creative. I spend my time admiring building architecture, nerding out about trains, trying to connect telepathically with every cat I meet, and eating at a new restaurant every chance I get. You can often find me waxing poetically by a waterfront pier.

Working with me

I’m ready for my next chapter. My goal is to join a remote or hybrid team in New York City doing impactful creative work using data, with a focus on responsible tech, non-profits, and civic engagement. I’m open to freelance and contract opportunities.

I’m a collaborator

I thrive in collaborative environments. I love working cross-functionally with people from other disciplines. I believe I have something to learn from everyone.

I’m tool and process agnostic

Starting on paper, pulling inspiration from unexpected places, keeping design loose at the start—these are methods I keep top of mind.

I’m trying new things

I love variety. Working in an agency setting for a good chunk of my career allowed me to be adaptable and open. No solution is universal. Throw that spaghetti.

I strive to understand

It’s been important to analyze and dissect client needs as early as possible. Be it thorough data analysis or a deep understanding of stakeholder goals.

Before I started my career in data visualization and digital product design, I was a children’s wear fashion designer. Toward the end of that chapter, I was a technical designer, crafting technical packages that allowed the manufacturer to create garments to company specifications. This experience tied well into what I ended up doing next, being a visual designer at an agency specializing in data analysis, data visualization, and storytelling.

As I am exploring what my next career pivot will be, I’m considering my various passions, from civic tech to education. I’m also interested in infrastructure planning, transportation, designing for non-profit causes, museum exhibitions, and historical preservation.

Outside of work, I enjoy making my own clothing and accessories, going to concerts–typically metal concerts and broadway shows, traveling the world, exploring local waterfronts, and taking day trips via train. I also love gaming and learning about new technology.

Looking forward to working with you someday.
